AI will impact us all!
Mike Byrnes, President of Byrnes Consulting, spoke about AI and how it can grow a business at FSI’s OneVoice conference. While there, he sat down with Julie Cooling, Founder and CEO of RIA Channel, to discuss how AI is impacting advisors whether they like it or not.
Watch the 8-minute video interview.
Mike shared some traditional consulting advice that growth through strategic alliances is one common area where advisors can do better. For example, if they work with widows as a target market, advisors should try to get leads from grief counselors.
He also spoke about issues AI is starting to cause:
- AI is stealing search results
- AI is inundating people with content
- AI is filtering out emails so they do not get through
Mike said that generative AI will help at a level never seen before. He referenced a Forbes article about how in demand ‘prompt engineers’ are nowadays.
He believes search results will be an issue, as websites might not come up anymore, unless AI references them. He suggested getting more advanced with something like email, using AI to do extremely advanced ‘A-B testing.’ Plus, AI can give immediate marketing results and recommendations, compared to an advertising agency that might take weeks to do so. He stressed early adopters of artificial intelligence will have a competitive advantage.
He shared more details in how advisors can get comfortable with AI using it for content. It can help with ideas, outlines, writing and proofing.
Whether it is your personal device, open AI or an enterprise AI, it’s all going to impact us .
Mike flipped the interview around and mentioned that AI will impact RIA Database’s business too.
He ended with a final thought that we are currently looking at the worst version of AI. “Don’t give up on it. Figure out a purpose and keep trying,” he said.
