Two of the most important pages for an individual online are the website’s bio page and the LinkedIn profile. Both allow for a professional photo, yet many fall short.
If business development is an important goal, it is crucial to get these pictures right and not let them get out of date, as prospects are researching online and making virtual decisions on whether to work with you or not.
Review a Financial Advisor magazine article written by Mike Byrnes, President of Byrnes Consulting. He shares the three main reasons why photos get outdated:
- There is an added expense
- Updates are uncomfortable
- They get neglected
Mike also gives advice on which questions to ask a professional photographer around:
- Rights
- A contact sheet
- Electronic files
- Orientation
- Enhancements (and imperfections)
